Senior High

Sunday School

Students in 9th - 12th grade are invited to join us for Sunday School upstairs on Sunday mornings from 9:40 AM - 10:30 AM. This class is designed to be a safe place to discuss important ideas, concepts, and values of the Christian faith. Using the socratic method, the teacher asks open ended question to guide students to dialogue and share thoughts and feelings about the discussed subjects. In this way, everyone is encouraged to talk and be heard.

The topics are typically designed for adolescents who are exploring the particular facets of their spiritual journey and their faith pathways. Biblical readings, psychological theories, and philosophical arguments are utilized to explore and develop a Christ-centered lifestyle in the context of the world an adolescent faces each day. Videos are used weekly to highlight the topics discussed. Students are urged to bond with each other and learn to respect personal faith journeys and expressed doubts. We choose topics that are age appropriate, accessible to the adolescent mind, and stimulate thoughtful decision-making within the context of the Christian faith. We welcome all high school students to join us and strive to give students an opportunity to learn about themselves, their God, and the world around them.
